Include nectarines, apricots, plums and peaches in the fruit desserts to create easy and healthy sweet treats. These stone fruits can be simply grilled or roasted with a dash of spices to create unique dishes. Halve and pit nectarines and brush them with balsamic vinegar on both sides. Place a grill rack or a grill pan on medium heat and oil it lightly. Transfer the nectarines to the grill pan and cook on both sides, brushing with some balsamic vinegar in between. Cook the nectarines till they are tender and charred on both sides. Serve the nectarines hot with a scoop of vanilla ice cream and drizzled with some more vinegar on top.

You can make the same dessert with other stone fruits and serve with different toppings like ice cream, whipped cream or fresh yogurt.
Yogurt is a healthy food and can be used in fruit desserts. Combine a pound of fresh yogurt with two teaspoons of honey and half a teaspoon of vanilla extract and whisk with a spoon till well blended. Choose an assortment of fruits like pineapples, strawberries, mangoes and cantaloupes and peel and chop into small cubes. Layer the yogurt and fruits along with granola in tall glasses and drizzle with honey before serving.

Roasted plums are a delicious choice for healthy dessert recipes. For this recipe, choose ripe but firm plums so they hold their shape after roasting. Stir together two teaspoons of honey and one teaspoon of light brown sugar with a teaspoon of vanilla extract. Halve, pit and slice six plums into wedges. Toss them well in the honey mixture to completely coat. Arrange the plums in a single layer in a baking dish. Cut a teaspoon of cold unsalted butter into small pieces and spread over the plums. Roast the plums in a preheated oven for about five minutes. To serve the roasted plums, scoop a little amount of the plum wedges into tall glasses with a teaspoon of the pan juices. Add a dollop of plain Greek-style yogurt over them and top off with another teaspoon of the plums. Garnish with chopped pistachio nuts before serving.
